Our Story

At Cheryl Can, it’s about the love of food and desire to impress. As a mother and wife, Cheryl wants her family and YOURS, to be as excited about food as she is.

 

Inspired by the evolution of cooking shows from

the iconic Julia Child’s to the French Chef  and to more recent shows like Iron Chef and Hell’s Kitchen Cheryl knew what she wanted to do – simply cook.

 

Experimenting with food for 40 years, Cheryl became a self-taught Chef, focusing on affordable and health conscious food. She started her own business in the ‘90s, catering for every size event. From fashion shows and weddings to anniversaries and holiday parties ... 

this is how CherylCan came to be.

Living in the Fraser Valley, CherylCan supports the Agricultural economy by sourcing food that is locally produced. We create fresh meals with seasonal produce, incorporating ingredients from our very own garden. We have amazing resources, allowing us to forage for naturally provided ingredients.

With the understanding of the health benefits of good nutrition, we have focused our attention on a plant-based, vegan, gluten-free, raw food, low-carb diet (what a mouthful!). We advocate for micronutrient dense foods that will feed your body at the cellular level.

*We are a home-based, Food Safe Certified business that sources homemade, local products to create beautiful meal kits and catering options. We strive to meet the current dietary needs of a growing, diverse population. 

 

*We are a sustainable and green kitchen, working to reduce our footprint on the planet by using recyclable & reusable packaging that isn't cumbersome to deal with at home.
